A Server-Side Playlist is a list that identifies what content is played for a client, the time at which it is played, and the order in which it is played.
This allows you to stream your On Demand content in any order you like, to simulate a "Live" feed, commonly known as Content Scheduling.
More information available for Windows Media Server Playlists http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/howto/articles/adinsertion.aspx
In order to set up a server side playlist to create a simulated "Live" feed you must first have a program that supports server side playlists; Professional & Enterprise programs are compatible with server side playlists.
You must create 3 new publishing points in order to support a simulated live feed. You must launch a live and 2 on-demand publishing points.
If your channel is called "KTV" you should label them in the following way:
KTV - Live publishing point
KTVPlaylist
KTVContent
Once you have created these publishing points please create a case and a NetroMedia technician can assist with the finalization of your setup.
